Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt has received a call up to the England Under-21s squad, having previously been selected for the Under-20s.

Gelhardt has been in fine form so far this season, netting six goals in six games in Premier League 2 Division One, seeing him rewarded with a first team debut in the Carabao Cup away at Fulham. 

The 19-year-old will now join up with fellow Leeds United teammate, Charlie Cresswell who was already named in Lee Carsley's squad. 

England’s U21s will play two UEFA European Championship Qualifiers over the international break, facing Slovenia and Andorra, both away from home.
