Marcelo Bielsa: The game was a big test

Head coach on Everton draw.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Saturday’s draw with Everton.

The Whites and Toffee’s played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in front of a packed Elland Road.

Bielsa gave his verdict on the game and was pleased with the character of his side.

“The game was a big test for the team and this was multiplied as we were behind twice,” said Bielsa.

“To have been able to draw the game and to have dominated it for so many moments are aspects to value.

“Given the amount of minutes that we dominated, we should have created more chances at goal and we should have conceded less chances at our goal.

“We played against an opponent that didn’t need to dominate against us to create danger.

“The contribution of the fans is something which always makes the game grow.”

Bielsa also gave an update on Robin Koch who was missing from the matchday squad.

He said: “Robin has a pain in his pubis and he didn’t manage to recover from the situation in time for the game.”
