Ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash between Leeds United and Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, we look at 11 players who have played for both sides at some stage during their career.

Kasper Schmeichel

Now one of the Premier League’s most experienced and impressive goalkeeper’s with Leicester City, Kasper has played over 400 times for the Foxes both in the Premier League and across other competitions, including the Champions League. After coming through City’s academy and making a few first team appearances and having multiple loan spells, his time with the Whites was just the one season in 2010/11 after leaving Notts County.

Danny Mills

A big money signing from Charlton Athletic in 1998, Mills played over 100 times for the Whites. A well known right-back, he played for Leeds in the Premier League, UEFA Cup and Champions League, as well as representing England. He left Elland Road to join Man City in 2004, staying for five years which included loan spells away from the club.

Danny Granville

Granville’s long career spanned 20 years, beginning by coming through Cambridge United’s Academy and going on to play over 100 matches for them. A move to Chelsea followed, before signing for Leeds. From Elland Road he went to Manchester City on loan then stayed permanently, then leaving for a long stay at Crystal Palace.

Richard Jobson

Born in Hull, Jobson started his career with Burton Albion before enjoying a lengthy spell at Oldham, playing over 200 times. He moved to Elland Road in 1995, but just the 27 appearances in three years allowed the defender to join Man City in 1998, where he enjoyed more first team action.

Fabian Delph

A product of the Leeds United academy, Delph came through Thorp Arch and made his first team debut at the end of the 2006/07 season. Over 50 appearances for the Whites saw the midfielder snapped up by Aston Villa, before then heading to Man City where he won the Premier League title. Now a full England international as well, Delph currently plays for Everton.

Michael Brown
Now often found broadcasting both at Elland Road and around the country, Brown had a solid career at the top of the English game. A battling and feisty midfielder, he came through Man City’s academy and played over 100 times for the Citizens. Brown joined Leeds from Portsmouth in 2011 and played over 75 times for the Whites in a three-year stay.

James Milner

Undoubtedly one of the Premier League’s all time great midfielder’s, Milner is still producing at the top of the table at the age of 35, nearly 20 years on from his Leeds United debut as a 16-year-old. Milner was another talent to come through the academy at Thorp Arch and played over 50 times for the Whites. He moved on to play for Newcastle and Villa, before a big-money move to Man City, where he won the Premier League title twice, before mirroring that success with current side Liverpool and adding a Champions League as well.

Alf-Inge Haaland

The father of Erling, one of the current world’s best striker’s, Alf-Inge had a good footballing career of his own. Able to operate both as a midfielder and defender, the Norwegian international played 35 times for his country, Norway. His time in England was spent with Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and Manchester City before finishing his career in his homeland after a long injury lay off.

Ian Poveda
Current Leeds United winger Ian Poveda joined the Whites from Manchester City in January 2020, departing the Etihad Stadium having made one senior appearance.  He helped Leeds win promotion from the Sky Bet Championship last year and this season has made 12 outings for Marcelo Bielsa's side in all competitions.

Darren Huckerby

An explosive winger who excited fans at all clubs he represented, during a 16-year career. Huckerby’s pace would often see him spring past defenders and set up a teammate, or score himself. He joined Leeds in 1999, making over 50 appearances, before heading to Manchester City for three years where he played a major role in winning promotion and the Division One title.

Robbie Fowler
Best known for his time with Liverpool, the striker had a left-foot that caused chaos for defences across the Premier League for a number of years. Over 350 matches on Merseyside saw Leeds pay a sizeable fee for the striker, who had a close to one-in-two goal ratio at Elland Road before heading to Manchester City, where he made just short of 100 appearances prior to rejoining Liverpool in 2006.
