Mateusz Klich: We didn’t really create much danger

Midfielder after Aston Villa defeat.

Mateusz Klich played the full 90 minutes at Elland Road, a game in which his side suffered defeat after conceding the early goal to the visitors.

The midfielder felt his side had a lot of the ball, but stated they could have done more with it and didn’t create enough chances.

Speaking after the match, he gave his thoughts on the game.

“We lost and conceded a bad goal,” Klich explained.

“In the second phase of the set-piece we should have done better. We had some chances at the beginning of the game and we wanted to start quickly.

“Obviously we knew Aston Villa were going to press us and they are a very good side as well.

“We conceded the goal which didn’t help us and it did help them massively, so that was the game.

“We tried to get back into it and we had some chances that we missed. We brought on offensive players to try and change the game, but it didn’t work this time.

“We have these games sometimes, we just need to be more clinical.

“We managed the ball well but in the final third we didn’t really create much danger, maybe a couple of chances but we can do better.”
