Pascal Struijk was solid in defence throughout alongside Liam Cooper, as the Whites moved into the top 10 of the Premier League table.

Palace’s experienced forward line were kept at bay by Struijk and his teammates, throughout the 2-0 victory at Elland Road. 

“The boys are very happy with the performance today,” Pascal explained.

“To get two goals and a clean sheet, we are happy!

“I think I had two big chances, I didn’t take them unfortunately but that’s football and we’ll see how it goes next time, I’ll make sure I practice my headers!”

Pascal and his Leeds United teammates controlled large parts of the match after going ahead inside three minutes. Following an excellent performance, the Whites want to keep that form going. 

Struijk said: “I think when we had the ball, we controlled all the game. We kept good possession and kept playing when necessary. 

“I think the team looks at what we still can do and the points we can get. It’s very good that we have 32 points but we still want to get as many as possible. 

“I’m enjoying my game time, I think as well it is helping to build a relationship between me and Liam Cooper, so that’s good.”
