Pascal Struijk: We are looking to bounce back

Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk spoke to the media ahead of Monday’s Premier League game with Crystal Palace.

The Whites are looking for a 10th victory in the top-flight this season, with Roy Hodgson’s side visiting Elland Road.

Struijk began by reflecting on last Wednesday’s narrow home defeat against Everton.

“We were very disappointed that we lost,” said Struijk.

“In the first half we gave it away with the two goals that we conceded.

“We worked so hard to get back into the game, but unfortunately one goal wasn’t enough.

“It was hard to take the loss, but we did our best and fought as hard as we could.

“In every game we go out and give 100 per cent, that is all we can do.”

Earlier in the campaign Crystal Palace ran out 4-1 victors against Leeds at Selhurst Park and Struijk is hoping the Whites can show how much they have improved since that match.

“It wasn’t our best game,” admitted Struijk.

“It was just not a good game for us, but we are looking to bounce back.

“We’re all looking forward to this game in a very positive manner, with how we are going to play.

“How we ended the last game against Everton was a bit unfortunate, but if we bring the team spirit to this next game, I think we will be fine.”
