Team news: Unchanged team to start the first game of the New Year

Starting XI announced at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Marcelo Bielsa has named another unchanged team to the one that faced and beat West Bromwich Albion 5-0 just four days ago for today's fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

Protecting goalkeeper Illan Meslier in front of goal is captain Luke Ayling, Pascal Struijk, Stuart Dallas, Gjanni Alioski and Kalvin Phillips joined by the attacking outfit of Mateusz Klich, Jack Harrison, Raphinha, Rodrigo and Patrick Bamford.

This early afternoon match is our first of the New Year with Leeds United currently sat 11th in the Premier League table, and three points today would see our points tally match those from 5th through to 10th in the league.

Missing from the substitutes bench this afternoon is Leif Davis and Tyler Roberts with Academy youngsters Niall Huggins and Charlie Cresswell replacing the duo.

Also missing from today's squad is Liam Cooper, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Adam Forshaw, all out through injury.

Leeds United: Meslier, Ayling (C), Struijk, Dallas, Phillips, Alioski, Klich, Harrison, Raphinha, Rodrigo, Bamford.

Subs: Casilla, Poveda, Costa, Hernandez, Cresswell, Shackleton, Jenkins, Casey, Huggins.
