Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has spoken to the media ahead of Sunday’s festive clash between the Whites and Burnley at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are looking to get back to winning ways after Christmas, against the Clarets, who sit two places below Leeds in the Premier League.

Klich insists the side are determined to bounce back after defeat at Old Trafford last time out.

“We have to win this game,” said Klich.

“We said before the season started, we have to make sure that we win against every team who is going to be around us in the table, because our goal is to stay in the league and to stay in the league you have to beat everyone who is behind you.

“Obviously, if you beat the teams who are in front of you, at the top of the table, that’s bonus points you can get, but just make sure that you are going to beat the teams around you and we beat Sheffield United, Fulham, Newcastle and I hope we can have three points against Burnley.

“It's a very important game for us, it was a big defeat against Manchester United, but we need to move on and focus on the Burnley game because it’s going to be a totally different game.”

Klich also spoke about what he is expecting from Sean Dyche’s side.

“Burnley defend very well as a team and they’re very hard to beat,” explained Klich.

“It’s going to be a very demanding game for us because we won’t have much space and we have to create a lot of chances and at the same time be very focussed on the set-pieces because they also are dangerous is set pieces.

“We’ve played many games like this, it is a hard game to play because you need to break them down somehow and they quite strong.

“It’s another opportunity to have three points and we are going to have to go for it.”
