Jack Harrison: We want to be as aggressive and intense as we can

Winger on Newcastle United victory.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison discussed Wednesday night’s victory against Newcastle United, at Elland Road.

After coming from behind, the Whites put in a five-star performance, showing a lethal touch in front of goal right up until the final whistle.

Harrison and his teammates wanted to put in a winning display after losing last time out on home turf, and they did just that.

“We’ve had a few rough games and we were really hoping to come back and redeem ourselves tonight,” he explained.

“We knew how important it was to come out strong, be aggressive and play our usual game and we did exactly that tonight."

Showing his energy and desire right until the end, Harrison scored the fifth and final goal of the night for his side with a stunning 25-yard strike following a quick breakaway.

“It was just a spur of the moment thing!” Explained the winger, on his goal.

“I didn’t really think about it too much and I think when I don’t think about it too much, that’s when the best things can happen.

“It was really fortunate to get that one at the end, we’re always trying to be intense and play until the final whistle.

“We want to be as aggressive and intense as we can. If you look at all the players making long runs in the last few minutes, it shows our fitness levels and how we want to play.

“We know how important it is for us to do that.”

Next up for the Whites is a trip to Old Trafford, to face Manchester United.

“It’s a big one for us,” Harrison stated.

“We know it means a lot to a lot of Leeds United fans, so we’ll be hoping for another good performance against them.”
