Ezgjan Alioski: The transition from defence to attack was beautiful

Full-back on Newcastle United win.

Leeds United full-back Ezgjan Alioski spoke exclusively to LUTV following Wednesday’s victory over Newcastle United.

The Whites came from behind, producing a rampant display at Elland Road to defeat the Magpies 5-2 in the Premier League.

It was Leeds’ first victory in three matches and Alioski was delighted to get back to winning ways.

“It’s always good after a win, it was important for us for the morale and motivation and the team spirit within the group,” said Alioski.

“We never give up, we always believe and we know with the style of how we play, the success will come, we just need to keep working hard and then we can be happy.

“We like how we play, we enjoy every game, even if we are sometimes sad afterwards.

“We try every time to get the maximum from games, sometimes the results are not how we want, but we always go for the next game and believe, we know how strong we are as a team and the success will come.

“Scoring five goals was beautiful to see, five different players scored which was nice and I’m happy for everybody that scored.

“The transition from defence to attack was beautiful and getting people in the box, it doesn’t matter who scores the goal, it’s all about how quick we change from the back to go to score and we deserve this.”

Alioski also spoke how the side will now prepare for Sunday’s match against arch rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

He said: “We can’t rest, we need to recover quick which is important.

“We will analyse this game and analyse the game we are going to play.

“We need to work harder again to get another win.”
