Charlie Cresswell pens new contract

Young defender agrees new deal.

Leeds United are delighted to announce Charlie Cresswell has signed a new contract with the club.

The 18-year-old central defender has put pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half-year deal, running until the summer of 2023.

Cresswell is the latest young player to have progressed through the ranks at Thorp Arch, going on to earn his first team debut in September against Hull City in the Carabao Cup.

He has featured seven times for Mark Jackson’s Under-23s in the Premier League 2 this term, with the side currently sat second in the table.

Cresswell’s performances for the Under-23s have seen him called up to England’s Under-19 squad during the last two international breaks.
