Stuart Dallas: It’s going to be a tough game

Full-back on Sheffield United.

Leeds United full-back Stuart Dallas spoke to LUTV ahead of Sunday’s Premier League fixture with Sheffield United.

The Whites last travelled to Bramall Lane in December 2018, recording a 1-0 victory and Leeds will be hoping for a similar result this time around.

Dallas had praise for the South Yorkshire opponents on their recent achievements and believes it won’t be an easy task coming up against them.

“Sheffield United deserve a lot of credit with the way they have gone about their business in the Premier League,” said Dallas.

“They have a similar squad to what they had in the Championship and they had a fantastic season last year.

“They have a manager who knows the game very well and is a very good manager, he has his teams well drilled and working in the right way.

“It’s going to be a tough game for us, they’ve started the season with two defeats and they will be looking at the game at the weekend thinking the same as we did against Fulham, that these are games that they have to win to progress.

“It’s going to be a different game to the Fulham game, but one we will be more than ready for.”

Leeds captain Liam Cooper could also mark his 200th Leeds United appearance in the fixture and his good friend Dallas spoke about potentially hitting the landmark.

He said: “I knew he was coming up to his 200th game and Coops isn’t really one for taking the plaudits or anything, he just goes quietly about his business.

“Playing 200 games is an incredible achievement at a club like this and as our captain as well he is someone who sets an example everyday and somebody who not only the younger players can learn off, but the senior players can learn off as well.

“He does everything the right way, he’s a great leader and a credit to himself and his family.”
