Marcelo Bielsa: Sunday is a big challenge for us

Head coach on Sheffield United.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Sheffield United.

The Whites are looking for back-to-back wins in the top flight, having beaten Fulham 4-3 last time out at Elland Road.

Bielsa spoke about Saturday’s opponents and had big praise for the South Yorkshire side and their manager Chris Wilder.

“It’s very clear the importance of what Sheffield have done, firstly getting promoted and then the season they had last year in the Premier League,” said Bielsa.

“It’s a team with a particular style of play which is ingrained, well-oiled.

“They have a very good manager, he has been able to ingrain his ideas into his players and the players clearly feel comfortable in the system imposed.

“This is one of the virtues of a good manager, someone who is able to ingrain his ideas on his players and make it look comfortable.

“It is a practical team, very difficult to face and the game on Sunday is a big challenge for us.”

Bielsa also gave an update on team news ahead of the Yorkshire derby.

He said: “Pablo still has two weeks of recovery before he can return.

“The team will largely be the same, the only possible alternative will be Roberts instead of Rodrigo.”
