Head coach on Stoke City win.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Thursday’s victory against Stoke City.

The Whites produced a fine performance, defeating the Potters 5-0 at Elland Road.

The win moves Leeds United back to the top of the Sky Bet Championship and Bielsa gave his verdict on the biggest win of the season.

“Both halves were different,” said Bielsa.

We started well the match, but the second part of the first half we lost contact with the opposing goal

“After we were able to score at the end of the first half was very important.

“In the second half, the early goal made the match easier.

“In any case, it was not a match of five goals difference between both teams.

“It was a positive performance and a manager always values when a team has a positive performance.”

Bielsa also spoke about the introduction of Pablo Hernandez from the bench at half time.

He said: “Pablo has different characteristics to Tyler.

“He can adapt to any kind of match.

“If the opponent defends far from their own goal, Pablo knows how to take advantage of this circumstance.

“If the opponent played close to their own box and compact, Pablo knows how to assist in these conditions.”
