Leeds United entertain Bristol City at Elland Road on Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship.  Here we look back on some memorable meetings between the two sides.

Saturday, 13 November 2010- Leeds United 3-1 Bristol City

Leeds hosted Bristol City and an inspired second half hat-trick from Luciano Becchio saw Leeds take all three points. After a goalless first half, manager Simon Grayson turned to Becchio with 30 minutes to go. Six minutes after coming on Becchio headed Leeds into the lead. However, journeyman striker Jon Stead equalised for the Robins’ immediately after. The Argentine got his second goal two minutes later to give Leeds the lead again, before completing his 16-minute hat-trick with seven minutes to go. This win kept Leeds in playoff contention.

Saturday, 4 February 2012- Bristol City 0-3 Leeds United

Manager-less Leeds visited a struggling Bristol City on a cold, snowy Saturday in February. After the hosts started the better of the two teams, Robert Snodgrass put the Whites in front with a trademark left-footed strike. Things went from bad to worse for the Robins as defender James Wilson was sent off for a last ditch foul on Ross McCormack. Leeds went into the break a goal and a man up. Shortly after half time, City went down to nine men when Yannick Bolasie was shown a second yellow for a trip on Adam Smith. McCormack doubled the lead with a powerful finish after a floated ball into the box from Adam Clayton. Becchio then sealed the win for Leeds with a thunderous close range shot.

Saturday, 29 September 2012- Bristol City 2-3 Leeds United

This meeting at Ashton Gate saw the Whites come out on the right side of a second-half five goal thriller. Despite the score line the game was goalless at the break. Leeds went ahead after 63 minutes through Senegalese forward El-Hadji Diouf. Albert Adomah equalised for the Robins before Diouf notched his second of the game to put Leeds 2-1 up with just 10 minutes to play. Michael Tonge looked to have sealed the deal for Leeds with his 83rd minute strike but a Rudolph Austin own goal gave the home side some hope in added time, however Leeds hung on and took all three points home.

Saturday, 21 October 2017- Bristol City 0-3 Leeds United

Leeds travelled to Ashton Gate looking to get back to winning ways. Leeds flew out the traps and midfielder Samu Saiz opened the scoring with his first of the afternoon after just four minutes. Saiz grabbed his second just 10 minutes later after a defensive mix-up and Leeds were two goals to the good with just 14 minutes on the clock. Midway through the second half German loan man Pierre-Michel Lasogga headed home from a corner to secure the three points for Leeds. Both sides were reduced to 10 men late on after a incident involving Gaetano Berardi and Matty Taylor.

Sunday, 4 August 2019- Bristol City 1-3 Leeds United

Leeds visited Ashton Gate for the 2019/20 season opener and got off to the best possible start when Hernandez opened the scoring midway through the first half. His left-footed curling effort found the top corner of the net to give Leeds the lead. Hernandez was again influential in the second goal as he crossed for Patrick Bamford to head in his first of the season. Jack Harrison then volleyed into an empty net for Leeds’ third of the afternoon. Andreas Weimann grabbed a late consolation goal when he fired into the bottom corner but the game ended 3-1 and Leeds started the season with three points.
