Tyler Roberts: Everyone is positive

Forward on Wigan defeat.

Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts spoke to LUTV following Saturday’s defeat against Wigan Athletic.

The Wales international made his comeback from injury as a second half substitute against the Latics, featuring for the first time since December.

Roberts spoke about the match and insists the team are looking to bounce back in the next two games against Nottingham Forest and Brentford.

“We’re obviously feeling very down, we created the chances, dominated and it just didn’t go for us,” said Roberts.

“We’ve shown we can dominate any game and create chances against anyone, every team has these days and I’m sure it won’t happen many more times.

“Everyone is positive, though, we will get back on it and go again next week.

“I think the two upcoming games are exactly what we need, obviously we have two teams fighting up there with us.

“It will be two massive games, but we will be up for it and we know we can win both of those games.”

Roberts also spoke about what it was like to return to the action and praised staff behind the scenes at Thorp Arch.

He said: “I’m buzzing to be back.”

“Obviously I need to thank the medical staff, the physios, rehab staff and everyone involved who have all worked with me to get back.

“It felt good, I just need to get a run of games to get back to full fitness, but I felt good and that is credit to everyone.”
