Head coach on Sheffield Wednesday game.
Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday.
The Whites host the Owls at Elland Road, looking to make it four games unbeaten in the Sky Bet Championship.
Bielsa spoke about Saturday’s opponents and revealed some positive team news regarding Pablo Hernandez and Jamie Shackleton.
“Sheffield Wednesday are a team that has good attackers and they have three good wingers,” said Bielsa.
“They also have three important midfielders and a solid defensive line.
“This means they have enough players to build a good team.
“In the match we are going to do everything we can to try and win.
“We have to concentrate on each match in the Championship individually and always try to reach the next level.
“Hernandez and Shackleton will both available for Saturday’s match.”
Bielsa also highlighted the importance of Kalvin Phillips and his role in the Leeds United side and has been pleased with recent performances.
He said: “Phillips is playing excellently, but he always plays well.
“He makes a lot of effort for the team, he has a good personality, he takes risks and his responsibility doesn’t intimidate him.
“In the last match he played against Mesut Ozil and I think that he did very well against him.
“Some managers look at players and they use them to win matches, however other managers try to correct them and make them better players.
“Improving one player means considering his weakness and trying to correct it which improves the general play of the team."
