Jordan Stevens pens new deal

Midfielder agrees new contract.

Leeds United are pleased to announce Jordan Stevens has signed a contract extension with the club.

The 19-year-old has agreed fresh terms, keeping him at Elland Road until the summer of 2022.

Stevens joined Leeds United from Forest Green Rovers in 2018 and has been a regular for Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side during his time at the club.

Following a string of impressive displays last season, Stevens was handed a first team debut against Stoke City back in January.

This season he has been part of the matchday squad on a frequent basis for the first team, whilst has made seven appearances for the Under-23s, scoring two goals.

On the new deal, Stevens said: “I’m delighted to sign a new deal at the club and I’m excited for where the next few years can take me here.

“Last year with the Under-23s was great, we were a really close group and to win the league was a massive achievement.

“It was great to make my debut against Stoke, I was nervous warming up when you see how many fans are there supporting us, but you have to stay focused on the game and that’s what I tried to do.

“Being around the match day squad is improving me as a player and I’m learning from the senior pros, hopefully I can kick on now and see what the future brings.”
