Roberts on Birmingham victory.
Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts spoke exclusively to LUTV following Saturday’s victory over Birmingham City.
The Whites were 1-0 winners in the club's centenary match thanks to a second half goal from Kalvin Phillips, with Leeds now sat second in the Sky Bet Championship.
Roberts was a second half substitute after regaining fitness following a long-term injury and was pleased to come away with the three points.
“We had a bad result before the international break, so the most important thing was getting back to how we played before that and picking up a win,” said Roberts.
“We were very focused on the job we had to do today and we got it done.
“The atmosphere was ridiculous, the fans did an excellent job and everyone behind the scenes did a good job, it was amazing.
“Coming on in the second half and getting some minutes it was great, its been a long summer, so I'm glad to be back and helping the team get up the table"
The Whites now head to Preston North End on Tuesday evening looking for back to back victories in the division.
On the clash he said: “We had a good result last year at Preston, but this year they’ve started well and have been scoring lots of goals.
"We are wary of that, but we'll play our normal game and try to dominate possession."
