A number of Leeds United stars have been in action for their respective international countries over the weekend, here we find out how they got on.
Eddie Nketiah was on target for Aidy Boothroyd’s England Under-21s as they drew 2-2 against Slovenia. Nketiah opened the scoring for the Young Lions just before the break and Sam Surridge doubled the lead, but two late Slovenia goals meant England had to settle for a draw.
Mateusz Klich was an unused substitute as he faced teammate Ezgjan Alioski in Warsaw. Poland defeated North Macedonia 2-0 and have now qualified for next summer’s European Championship.
Tyler Roberts made his international comeback for Wales following injury, in a 1-1 draw with Croatia. Roberts came on in the 86th minute.
Mateusz Bogusz picked up an assist as Poland Under-21s drew 2-2 with Russia. This point leaves Poland top of the table in their bid to qualify for the Under-21 European Championship.
Ryan Edmondson was named on the bench as England Under-19s picked up their first win in the Marbella International Cup as they defeated Belgium 4-2.
Nohan Kenneh started in England Under-17s 2-1 defeat against Germany in Murcia. Kenneh faces Spain today in their last match of the international break.
Kun Temenuzhkov was an unused substitute as Bulgaria Under-21s fell to a 1-0 defeat to Serbia.
