Marcelo Bielsa: Swansea City are showing a good level

Head coach on Swansea City.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Swansea City.

The Whites entertain the Swans at Elland Road in an early season top of the table clash, with both sides so far undefeated in the league.

Bielsa gave an update on team news and also had praise for Saturday’s opponents.

“I think all of the players are going to be available, barring Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts.

“Swansea City are showing a good level, they have a very clear idea on how to play.

“They are a solid team, they know how to defend and how to attack and at the same time they have good links in transitions from defence to attack and attack to defence.”

“I am not surprised about Swansea’s start to the season, because they have deserved to get the results they have.

“They’ve got players from last year and have made some additions.”

Bielsa also praised the support in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup penalty shootout defeat against Stoke City at Elland Road.

He said: “The support is something I appreciate a lot, it was frustrating we could not give a present to the fans.

“We hoped to continue playing in the Carabao Cup, because it was a good scenario to give time to all of the players.

“It was a very good for the younger players and for those who are not playing regularly, because the cup is a demanding level similar to the Championship.”
