Jack Harrison: It is always a tough game

Winger on Stoke City.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Stoke City.

The Whites head to the Potters looking to extend the club’s unbeaten start to the season to six games.

Harrison though, is under no illusions that Saturday will prove to be a difficult challenge.

“It is always a tough game going to Stoke,” said Harrison.

“They haven’t been doing the best recently, but in this league, anything can happen, the competition is so high.

“We definitely have to make sure we are prepared and not be complacent after the run we have had and make sure we are ready to play.

“It is suprising to see where they are if you look at their squad, but just as quick as things can go well, they can go bad as well.

“It can also work the other way around and for them with the squad they have, they can probably quickly turn it around and we have to be prepared for that.”

Harrison also spoke about what it is like to have competition for places in the Whites squad and the support of the fans.

He said; “There is a lot of talent on this team, we’ve got a lot of young players that are eager to play and it is important to have that competition within the squad and never get complacent.

“We all push each other, not in a malicious way, but supporting each other as team mates and we have that in our team.

“It’s always great when you hear and see people say nice things about you, the fans here have been so supportive of me this year and I have been so grateful for that as well, it doesn’t go unnoticed.

“I like to keep my head down and keep working and the fact the fans have seen that in my play is nice and it is great to get that support from them.”
