Marcelo Bielsa: We deserved a clear win

Head coach on Nottingham Forest draw.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The Whites dominated the match at Elland Road, but a Forest equaliser 13 minutes from time, meant Leeds had to settle for a point.

Pablo Hernandez opened the scoring for Leeds in the second half and Bielsa felt his side were worthy of three points.

“I’m disappointed, because with the performance the team showed today, we deserved a clear win,” said Bielsa.

“I feel the team is growing, we are not losing the ball easily and we didn’t suffer dangerous counter-attacks and we controlled the development of the game.

“After what we watched, Nottingham Forest had two corners that allowed them to score one goal, whilst we created 10 chances to receive the same one goal.

“In the last game we created the same number of chances as the opponent, but we scored goals they didn’t score, which allowed us to have a clear win.

“Of course, our possibilities to win the game increase if we are more able to score the chances we have.”
