1) Helder Costa was born on 12th January 1994 and shares the same birthday as fellow Leeds United team-mate Tyler Roberts.

2) Costa began his football career, by coming through the ranks at Portuguese side Benfica, playing alongside the likes of Andre Gomes, Jan Oblak, Nelson Semedo and Bernardo Silva.

3) From Benfica, Costa had loan spells at Deportivo La Coruna and AS Monaco, before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers, initially on a temporary deal ahead of the 2016/17 season.

4) Wolves signed Costa for a then club record transfer fee at the end of the 2016/17 season, after a very impressive first season where he scored 12 goals in all competitions and was named the Player of the Season at Molineux.

5) In November 2017, Wolves defeated Leeds 4-1 at Molineux, Costa scored from the spot in that match, whilst fellow Leeds team-mate, Barry Douglas was also on the score-sheet for the home side.

6) Costa made a total of 36 appearances for Wolves in the 2017/18 season, when they were crowned champions of the Sky Bet Championship.

7) Costa won 61 caps at youth level for Portugal, playing at every level from Under-16s to Under-23s.

8) On 14th October 2018, Costa made his senior debut for Portugal and found the back of the net in a 3-1 victory over Scotland at Hampden Park.

9) Last season, Costa made 30 appearances in all competitions for Wolves, helping them to a seventh place finish in the Premier League.  He scored his first top flight goal in a 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

10) On 3rd July 2019, Costa joined Leeds United on an initial loan deal, which will become a permanent transfer in the summer of 2020 and signed a four year deal running until 2024.
