Leeds United were defeated 4-2 at Elland Road against Derby County, with the Rams progressing to the Play-Off final with a 4-3 aggregate win.
Marcelo Bielsa made two enforced changes from the side which defeated Derby in the first leg on Saturday, with Patrick Bamford and Jamie Shackleton coming in for injured duo Adam Forshaw and Kemar Roofe.
The first major chance came in the 15th minute when Luke Ayling met a Mateusz Klich cross with a volley, but his attempt was too high.
Nine minutes later Leeds took the lead. Kalvin Phillips whipped in a free-kick from the left flank which was headed onto the post by Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas tapped home the rebound from close range, to lift the roof off Elland Road and give the Whites a 2-0 lead on aggregate.
The Whites so nearly made it two, when Klich hit a deflected effort from 25 yards, which bounced down on the wrong side of the goal-line from the crossbar.
There was controversy in the 31st minute when Patrick Bamford went down under a challenge from Rams skipper Richard Keogh, but the forward was booked for simulation, despite there appearing to be contact.
Goal-scorer Dallas saw a strike deflect wide and Bamford hit a tame strike at Derby stopper Kelle Roos, as the Whites pushed for a second of the game.
Jack Harrison whipped in a lovely cross which just evaded Bamford, before Dallas fired over a volley following a Pablo Hernandez delivery as Leeds continued to pressure.
With the Whites in control, Frank Lampard introduced Jack Marriott in the 44th minute and he had an immediate impact, latching onto a mix up at the back between Cooper and goalkeeper Kiko Casilla to level the game and give Derby hope just before the break.

The Rams then had a dream start to the second period, Harry Wilson played Mason Mount in at goal and he made no mistake, slotting home, to give Derby the lead and level the tie on aggregate.
A deflected Jamie Shackleton clearance fell to the feet of Mount in the Leeds box and he almost netted his second goal in a minute, but for Casilla in the Leeds goal.
Leeds almost regained the lead in the 53rd minute when Harrison met a Hernandez cross, but he saw his strike cleared off the line by Jayden Bogle.
Dallas went close with a curling effort which was parried by Roos and Hernandez saw the rebound blocked.
Dallas struck a volley over the crossbar, before Derby were awarded a penalty at the other end. Mason Bennett went down under a challenge from Cooper and Wilson made no mistake from the spot, to give Derby a 3-1 advantage.
Leeds hit back in the 62nd minute though, Dallas superbly weaved his way into the Derby box, before curling a fine strike into the bottom corner, to level the score on aggregate.
Two minutes later, Leeds made it 3-3, Ayling played a superb one-two with Bamford to break into the Derby box, but saw his strike go inches wide.
Ayling had another chance in the 73rd minute when the ball sat up kindly for him to strike, but he couldn’t keep it down.
Leeds were then reduced to 10 men, Gaetano Berardi was shown a second yellow card and given his marching orders.
With five minutes of regular time remaining Wilson went in at goal and hit the post, before Leeds’ fate was sealed when Marriott netted his second goal of the game.
The Whites pushed to level the tie and Dallas was denied by a fine stop from Roos, but the Rams held on, despite the late dismissal of Scott Malone, to end Leeds’ promotion dream.
