Preview: Leeds United v Derby County

We analyse Wednesday's second leg.

Leeds United take on Frank Lampard's Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off semi-final second leg at Elland Road on Wednesday (7:45pm), holding a 1-0 lead, thanks to Kemar Roofe's winner at Pride Park on Saturday.  The victory at Pride Park was Leeds' third win over the Rams in the 2018/19 season and the Whites now know that a draw or a win would be enough to send Leeds to the Play-Off final at Wembley.  Elland Road will be at capacity for the fixture and there is set to be a fantastic atmosphere.

Team news

Kemar Roofe, who scored the winning goal against Derby County in the first leg will be missing with a calf injury, but fellow forward Patrick Bamford is available again following a two match ban.  Ezgjan Alioski, Barry Douglas, Leif Davis, Adam Forshaw, Pontus Jansson and Tyler Roberts are all set to miss out with injury.  Derby will give late fitness test to Martyn Waghorn and Ashley Cole, but have no new injury concerns.

The key battle

Patrick Bamford v Kelle Roos

Forward Bamford comes back into the Leeds team with a point to prove following a two match ban.  Derby stopped Roos prevented Leeds from leaving Pride Park with a bigger advantage in the first leg and will be looking to keep Bamford out.
