Jack Harrison: We need to focus on what we can control

Winger on run in.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has urged the side to keep going, with four games of the Sky Bet Championship season remaining.

The Whites currently occupy second place in the division and a crucial automatic promotion spot to the Premier League, with a three point cushion.

Leeds take on Wigan Athletic and Brentford over the upcoming weekend and Harrison spoke about the current situation ahead of the upcoming season climax.

“The manager always says to focus on what we can control and not to be too concerned about anybody else and as a team we know that and we play at our best when we are not worried about anybody else,” said Harrison.

“Confidence is important, not only for myself but for the team as well and you can see that with how we are playing and passing the ball around really well.

“The support around us with the fans being incredible only sets us up for success really and we can’t ask for anymore.

“We knew before the game last Saturday it was going to be an important game for us.

“We had a lot of chances in the first half to put the game away, their goalkeeper made some fantastic saves, but we kept persevering and managed to get the goal in the second half.

“Anything can happen when Pablo Hernandez has the ball, he managed to find me and I tried to direct it towards goal and luckily for us it went in.

“It’s in our hands, we just have to keep going.”
