Marcelo Bielsa: Five key press conference points

Marcelo Bielsa: Five key press conference points

Five key quotes ahead of Sheffield Wednesday.

Following Marcelo Bielsa's press conference ahead of Saturday's clash with Sheffield Wednesday, we look at five key points made by the Leeds United head coach.

Leeds

On injuries news and the side he will play against Sheffield Wednesday...

“We are going to play with the same players, I don’t imagine any changes at the moment.”

On if he has a selection headache...

“These types of situations are easy to solve.”

On Jordan Stevens...

The games with the Under-23s are always a reference for him. In a previous press conference I was talking about three levels of importance, with the Championship, games in training and Under-23s.  For the players not involved with us who have no minutes in the Championship, I am very focused on them in training games and with the under-23s.  He has all the necessary skills to play on the side in attack and has good quality and speed too.”

On Sheffield Wednesday...

From the change of the coach they create a more stable shape and XI. They had good results. They use less players. They give a style of play in their games. The positive results are what they deserved.

On the season ending soon...

“For us we have to win the five games left. When you have less points to win because you are in the last games of the league, the gap or space for mistakes is reduced.  “For us to play the games with the obligation to win is something that is not new for us.  I don’t remember one game this season where we haven’t played to win the game.  It is no good to make any analysis until this objective is complete, the only important thing is if we get promotion. We play with obligation to win promotion, not to make the best season.”
