Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson spoke exclusively to LUTV following Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Swansea City.

Jansson celebrated his 28^th birthday in style, with the opening goal of the game at Elland Road.

The win saw Leeds leapfrog Norwich City at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table and the defender was pleased with the win.

“It’s a massive result,” said Jansson.

“We have to fight for 90 minutes, we did it well and we were just unlucky that we didn’t score more goals.

“I think we controlled the game well, but I felt a bit nervous at the end.

“It was nice to score, it was important to score the first goal which is good as it is tough when you concede the first goal.

“By scoring first we controlled the game in a better way and deserved the win.

“We continue to fight for each other for 90 minute and we know it is going to be tough until the end of the season.

“We have to put in more than 100 per cent in every game and we have 14 finals to go now and everyone has to do this for the rest of the season.”
