MARCELO BIELSA: WE WOULD LIKE TO DEDICATE THIS WIN TO JACK CLARKE

Head coach on Swansea City victory.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Swansea City.

First half goals from Pontus Jansson and Jack Harrison got the Whites back to winning ways at the Sky Bet Championship.

The victory, coupled with other results in the division saw Leeds reclaim top spot and Bielsa was pleased to get the three points.

We would like to dedicate this win to Jack Clarke, because we all feel that Jack deserves this win.

“I think we deserved to win, but It’s hard to understand how we only won with one goal of difference, because we dominated the game.

“We had many chances to score and we had many actions which could have become chances to score, which didn’t become chances to score.

“The goal is always to get as many points as possible and if this allows us to be first and top of the table, that is even better.

“In the last 14 games, we need to be as regular as possible and consistent as possible.

“The starters will now have a four day rest, from Thursday until Sunday and those who play less will play on Friday and Monday with the Under-23s.

“Those who are recovering from injury, will take advantage of this time to recover well.

“I will take advantage of these few days to rest, I like to walk and visit the places I don’t know in this region, there are many secrets to visit and discover and I take advantage of this time to be with my family and friends.”
