JACK HARRISON: IT WAS IMPORTANT TO BOUNCE BACK

Winger on Derby County win.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison spoke to LUTV after Friday’s 2-0 victory against Derby County.

The Whites got back to winning ways in the Sky Bet Championship, to move five points clear of Norwich City in second place, ahead of Saturday’s fixtures.

Harrison netted his second goal for the Whites in the victory and he was pleased with the win and the performance.

“It was a great game, we started of really well and that carried us through the rest of the game,” said Harrison.

“We made it hard for them to play and we managed to play our game and get a few goals.

“It was a great game to play in, with an amazing atmosphere as well.

“We knew after previous consecutive losses it was important to bounce back and really make an impression to the rest of the league and I think we did that.

“The second goal was very important to us, with Derby’s attacking ability they were definitely capable of scoring a goal and equalising.

“We had to prevent that and get a second goal early and we managed to do that.

“It was good to get my goal, it was more of a relief for me, I know I haven’t been doing the best lately, but I’ve been working hard off the field to try and correct that.

“It was nice to score, I know it was from close range but it was a good feeling and I’m happy I was able to do that at home in front of our fans.

“We need to continue building from this performance, we can’t get complacent and we need to keep working hard.”
