ADAM FORSHAW: IT WAS A GOOD CHANCE FOR THE YOUNG LADS

Midfielder on QPR defeat.

Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw spoke to LUTV following Sunday’s defeat at Queens Park Rangers.

The Whites exited the FA Cup at the Third Round Stage, after a narrow 2-1 loss against Steve McClaren’s side at Loftus Road.

A young Leeds side took to the field in London and despite the result, Forshaw believes the experience will benefit a lot of the side.

“It was a decent game, we created a lot of chances as we do, but we are disappointed as always are if we lose a game,” said Forshaw, who captained the team.

“It was a good chance for the young lads to show what they can do and I think they gave a good account of themselves.

"The match gave them a taste of playing in the first team and they showed the manager what they can do.

“They worked as hard as anybody and it shows the depth of quality in the squad- we have shown this season that when whoever takes to the field, we can still perform and beat anybody.

“The FA Cup is an important competition and you are always disappointed to lose a game- which we are now.

“We have to move on quickly, our full focus is on Derby County now, we will recover, start training and work hard for Friday.

“It is a massive game and we want to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.”
