MARCELO BIELSA: FIVE KEY PRESS CONFERENCE POINTS

MARCELO BIELSA: FIVE KEY PRESS CONFERENCE POINTS

Five key quotes ahead of Bolton Wanderers.

Following Marcelo Bielsa's press conference ahead of Saturday's trip to Bolton Wanderers, we look at five key points made by the Leeds United head coach.

Leeds

On Patrick Bamford & Izzy Brown...

“The situation of Izzy Brown and Patrick Bamford are different ones.  Patrick was not available for four months and Izzy didn’t play last year.  As you can easily understand, the process of Izzy can’t be the same as Patrick, because he has been unavailable three times longer than Patrick.  Patrick scored three goals on Tuesday and for a number 9 that is a very important thing.  He is available to be a starter or play as a substitute.  I don’t think Brown is ready yet, every time he plays and continues activities, he makes positive steps to be inside the group.”

On Tyler Roberts...

“The last two days he has trained with the first team, he will be with the group on Saturday and he is fine.”

On what he is expecting from Bolton...

“If you take the 22 starters of our cup game against Bolton, you won’t have the same ones as Saturday’s game.  We have to take into account these details in the next game.”

On the form of leaders Norwich City...

“When we played against Norwich they had more chances to score than us and we won that game.  The only difference is that we scored goals when we had chances and they didn’t.  When you see the result, you see it is a huge difference, but when you take a look at both performances, there was no big difference between the two teams.  Just because you miss a goal, it means you are not efficient- not that you have played bad.  We can say Norwich have an important creative profile.”

On signing a goalkeeper in January...

“The information I can give you regarding transfers, is that I see the importance the media give to this subject and if I had any news I would tell you about it.  It is not a task that I do because I am not a specialist in goalkeepers and I usually rely on a hypothesis.  Until now I don’t have any news about bringing in a goalkeeper or not.  Of course if I had any news about that I would comment immediately.”
