Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bilesa spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship trip to West Bromwich Albion.

The Whites head to the Hawthorns at the top of the table and will be looking to increase their lead at the summit.

Bielsa knows it will be a difficult task to overcome West Brom though and United’s head coach had praise for the Baggies squad.

“I think the best offensive players in the Championship play for West Bromwich,” said Bielsa.

“They might not have the best players in each position, but if we take as a whole the 10, 15, 19 and 16 (Matt Phillips, Harvery Barnes, Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle) they are the best offensive players.

“If you take those players as a collective, you won’t find any players better than them.

“The exam we are going to face this coming Saturday in the defensive segment is an exam which will strengthen our conclusions.

“It is also very important for us to keep our offensive identity though, even if we have to take in the capacity of the offensive actions of the opposition.

“It is often said the best form of defence is attack and in order to attack you have to have the ball and we will try to have the ball.

“In order to strengthen this concept, it is important to prevent the opponent from counter attacking.

“Possession is important, but only if you prevent the opponent from counter attacking.”
