PONTUS: EVERY CLUB HATES LEEDS, AND PREPARES FOR WAR

We catch up with Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson on everything from the start of the season to travelling fans

Pontus on... The start to his season:

"I'm feeling good. Being at the World Cup, my pre-season was quite short, I came back later than the others and went directly into the season. Aside from the beginning, I accepted it, worked hard to show Marcelo what type of player I was, and now I feel better than ever.

I feel stronger and feel lighter as I've lost some kilos. My personal performance and the team's performance has been good. We're second in the table, but there is still more to come from us, so we're looking to a bright future."

Pontus on... The Forest game:

"For the performance, I was satisfied, but of course, at home you want to win; but I think at the end of the 46 games, we'll look at the points we've picked up against Forest and Brentford, and think they were important.

You also have to look at both Brentford and Forest who are expected to be top teams, so as long as they don't get three points, it's better that they only get one point."

Pontus on... Wigan:

"I've never played there as I was suspended my first season here. I haven't seen too much about them, but we'll look at what they're good at, and not so good at.

We'll be prepared for a tough game. All the away games are tough, every club hates Leeds, and prepares for a war against Leeds, so we will do the same.

You always want to win games, and we have to start to do that on Sunday against Wigan."

Pontus on... The League:

"Every team can beat everyone, so that's what we have to prepare for, as though every game is a final. If we only focus on ourselves, and get three points as often as possible, and don't lose games, at the end it'll be good when we don't win games."

Pontus on... Travelling Fans:

"We as a team are always thankful for the supporters we have. It doesn't matter where and when we play, whether it's London at 9 o'clock, or if we get 3,000 tickets for a midweek game, we're going to sell them. It's a huge respect that they do that, we're thankful for it, and hope that they're going to continue and support us for the 46 games."
