MARCELO BIELSA PRESS CONFERENCE: FIVE KEY POINTS

Five key quotes ahead of Blackburn Rovers.

Following Marcelo Bielsa's press conference ahead of Saturday's game with Blackburn Rovers, we look at five key points made by the head coach...

Leeds

On team news...

“Gaetano Berardi, Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe will all be available.  Luke Ayling, Barry Douglas and Jack Harrison are unavailable.

On Blackburn Rovers...

"Blackurn are an opponent with experience and it won't be easy to play against them.  They have a good balance between individual skills and being competitive."

On Pontus Jansson's comments following the Brentford match...

"I would have preferred that Pontus didn't say that. The referee is a colleague of both teams. His task is very difficult. If we understand the role of the referee, we will help him.  Our role on the bench allows us more serenity. I think if Pontus had had time to think about it, he wouldn't have said the same thing. But I understand players when they make effort on the pitch and they think their treatment isn't fair.”

On whether it is going to be a tough decision what team to start on Saturday...

“It is not very hard to see if a player is in good shape or not.  What allows me to take a decision is the level of production of players who fight for space.  There are many factors, the experience, personal history of a player, variations on performance.  It is not very difficult to find arguments to take a decision.  In several opportunities though, I have found out, my decisions were not the correct ones.”

On the possibility of starting Ezgjan Alioski at left-back...

“So far he has given us a good response as a winger.  To put him in the full back position should be just in case it is a necessity for us.  It is either because of the result of the game or for the features of the players who play for the opponents."
