MARCELO BIELSA: THERE ARE VERY FEW THINGS TO CRITICISE

Head coach on Preston North End win.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Tuesday’s 3-0 victory over Preston North End.

The Whites continued their fine start to the season, thanks to a first half effort from Liam Cooper and a second half brace by Tyler Roberts.

Bielsa was pleased with the manner of the victory which saw his side remain at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table.

“The first half was very good, the second half at the beginning was harder and then we dominated the second half as well,” said Bielsa.

“The individual performances were important, our offensive game and defensive game were good and I have very few things to criticise in this game.

“Our team was very dynamic and we made links between the movements of the players.

"The players were moving to makes spaces for their team mates and this worked well.

“We also have to underline the good performances of the individuals as the individual performance of each player was high.”

Bielsa also had praise for Roberts who scored his first goals for the club in the win.

He said: “Tyler started pre-season work later than the others, he has done many efforts, he has been playing as a right winger where I asked him to play, but I heard he liked to play as a number nine and in the circumstances, he was offered this space in the team

“In the game against Millwall he had four chances to score and today he scored two goals, so it is an interesting performance from him.

“He is a very young player and I am happy for him, he deserves it."
