MARCELO BIELSA: PRESTON ARE A SPECIAL TEAM

Head coach on Preston North End.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of Tuesday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Preston North End.

The Whites are looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season in the division, whilst also hoping to keep their place at the top of the league.

Preston are the only side to have beaten Leeds this season, in the Carabao Cup and Bielsa had praise for them.

“Preston North End are a special team because they have players who have the skills to move the ball and they also have an aggressivity,” said Bielsa.

“A mix of skills and aggressivity is an attractive mix and Preston have a position in the table which they do not deserve.

“I always have the feeling of confidence, no matter who we are playing against, I always think we can win, it is part of the DNA of our profession.

“There is a difference between the first games we played and the last three we have just faced.

“The injuries and absences of some players are part of the difficulties you find during the competiton, all teams face this challenge and we are facing this kind of problem right now.

“But this difficulty was previsible, because all teams will have to play games without the presence of important players.

“So the difficulties we are facing right now, the other teams also have the same ones.

“It may be in a different period, but it will still happen for the other teams as well.”
