BARRY DOUGLAS: THERE IS NO ROOM FOR COMPLACENCY

Douglas speaks ahead of Norwich trip.

Leeds United full-back Barry Douglas believes there is still more to come from the Whites ahead of Saturday’s trip to Norwich City.

The full-back has been ever present for Leeds in the Sky Bet Championship after completing his summer moves from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Speaking to the the media at Thorp Arch, Douglas told of his time at the club so far and the aims going forward.

“The team that has been involved has been pretty much the same as last season, apart from myself” said Douglas.

“I think a lot of credit needs to go to the lads for helping me integrate into the squad and the team and get going.

“The Championship is relentless, there is no time to dwell, so it is important that all of the new guys feel a part of it and hit the ground running.

“We have a really good squad, there is a lot of quality and I think the best is still to come, it is still early doors.

“A few of the loan signings are still to get their chance and show what they can do and I’m sure there is more to come from Patrick Bamford, everyone is on top of their game and trying to be the best they can be.

“Of course there are going to be expectation levels and as a team and a squad we are ambitious and we want to achieve as much as possible.

“There is no room for complacency, especially if we want to mount a serious challenge, we are just taking it game by game, we will keep learning, working hard on the training field and we will see where end up.”
