Leeds United midfielder Jamie Shackleton has today put pen to paper on a new contract with the club.

The 18-year-old has agreed a new three year contract, penning a deal to remain with the Whites until June 2021.

Shackleton is a product of the Leeds United Academy and has been a regular for the Under-18s and Under-23s over recent seasons.

During Leeds’ pre-season campaign Shackleton impressed, playing in three matches against York City, Oxford United and Guiseley.

The versatile midfield player then went on to make his league debut for his hometown club in Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship win at Derby County.

His performances have led to a new deal and Shackleton will be hoping to stay in the plans of head coach Marcelo Bielsa for the rest of the campaign.
