MARCELO BIELSA PRESS CONFERENCE FIVE KEY POINTS

MARCELO BIELSA PRESS CONFERENCE FIVE KEY POINTS

Five key quotes ahead of Stoke City.

Following Marcelo Bielsa's press conference ahead of Sunday's Sky Bet Championship fixture with Stoke City, we look at five key points made by the head coach...

1) On who will start in goal...

"Bailey Peacock-Farrell will be the goalkeeper for the Stoke City game.  During the whole season we will have competition between our three goalkeepers, Jamal Blackman, Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Will Huffer.  The fitness of Peacock-Farrell today is superior to Blackman's, but this isn't the only reason."

2) On Pontus Jansson...

"I don't think he will be a starter.  He had three weeks of vacation and only came back six days ago.  I have to take this into account."

3) On Adam Forshaw injury...

"It is bad news for the team, Adam Forshaw is a big player for us.  We have other solutions for Adam in this position though."

4) On transfers...

"I am happy with the team, if we could get more players I would accept them.  I am happy with the new players, each player offers the alternatives that we need.  We want competition in every position and we are close to that point now."

5) On the style of play...

"We want to impose our own style.  The idea is to play in the opponents half.  That means we will dominate our opponent if we can impose this idea.  Our idea is to attack more than to defend.  In case we defend, the goal is to go back to attack as soon as possible.  We will try to link the three lines of our team without playing long balls.  These are our goals, but in moments during the game or our opponents, could make us do things differently than to what we plan."
