JACK HARRISON: I’M VERY EXCITED

Winger on joining Leeds.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison spoke exclusively to LUTV after joining the Whites from Manchester City.

Harrison, who has played over 50 games in the MLS for New York City will spend the 2018/19 campaign at Elland Road.

He could make his debut against Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship on Sunday and Harrison expressed his delight at completing the move.

“I’m very excited about this opportunity, it’s all happened pretty quickly and I am happy to be here,” said Harrison.

“I heard about the interest last week whilst I was on pre-season with Manchester City and I’m looking forward to this new experience.

“Leeds United is a great club, there is a lot of history and I want to be a part of that, we want to get promoted this year and I hope to be able to help do that.

“I spoke with Pep Guardiola about Marcelo Bielsa and he had a lot of encouraging words and a lot of Pep's ideas and philosophies are built around some of the same ones here as well, so obviously those similarities are helpful.

“I am a winger, I like to go forward and attack, score goal and try to assist as many as I can as well, so I am looking forward to doing that as much as possible whilst I am here.

“I’m can’t wait to get on the pitch and play in front of the fans at Elland Road and show everyone what I can do.

“I know Lewis Baker from Middlesbrough and I am looking forward to getting to know the rest of the team as well.”
