RONALDO VIEIRA: EVERYONE IS FEELING FIT

Midfielder on pre season.

Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira spoke to LUTV following Thursday’s friendly with York City.

The youthful Whites side played out a 1-1 draw with the Minstermen at Bootham Crescent, with Sam Dalby netting for Leeds.

Vieira celebrated turning 20, by being named skipper for the fixture and gave his thoughts on the game and pre season so far.

“It was hard being the first 90 minutes, but that is how it is supposed to be, the legs are supposed to hurt during pre season.

“Hopefully the 90 minutes will do us good, along with the other lads who played 90 minutes on Tuesday.

“Everyone is feeling fit, we have all been working hard and things are good, the hard work is paying off.

“I enjoyed having the captains armband, but I’m not worried about that, I just want to get out on the pitch, do my best and get the fitness in.

“It has been tough, but that is how it is meant to be, everyone is excited working under Marcelo Bielsa, he has different ideas and hopefully they will work.

“We are all looking forward to the new season and the first game at home, there will be a lot of fans and hopefully we can get the three points and kick on from there.”
