TIGERS STAR ADAM MILNER EXCITED FOR FRIDAY’S CLASH

Forward on Rhinos derby at Elland Road.

Castleford Tigers forward Adam Milner can’t wait to play at Elland Road when they take on Leeds Rhinos on Friday.

In a repeat of the 2017 Super League Grand Final, it promises to be a spectacular night of rugby league, with two of West Yorkshire’s biggest rivals come head to head.

Cas star Milner, a boyhood Leeds United supporter, is looking forward to taking to the field where he used to watch his Whites idols.

“I’m very excited for Friday, I said when we reached the Grand Final last year that I would rather play at Elland Road than Old Trafford," admitted Milner.

“I used to come to Elland Road with my dad, back when we had Alan Smith, Mark Viduka and the Champions League nights, when Leeds were the best team about.

“I’ve been saying it for about eight years now, but next year I’m sure we are going to get promoted and get back to the Premier League.

“There are a fair few Leeds fans in the Castleford squad and we have have managed to come to a few games.

“Oliver Holmes who I come with, is gutted to be missing out through suspension, after the Wigan Warriors game got called off last weekend.

“Friday is going to be a special night and hopefully it is going to be a special night for the Castleford Tigers.

“At Castleford we have been a top four team over the past four years now and it is almost like we have replaced the Bradford Bulls.

“That was the big derby back in the day with Leeds Rhinos, but we have taken that over now.

“We are hoping there will be a big crowd here at Elland Road and hopefully we can get the Super League attendance record."
