ELLAND ROAD LOOKS TO SMASH SUPER LEAGUE RECORD

ELLAND ROAD LOOKS TO SMASH SUPER LEAGUE RECORD

Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers aim to make history.

On Friday 23rd March, the Leeds Rhinos return to Elland Road to take on Castleford Tigers in Super League.

The Rhinos played their first ‘home’ fixture of the campaign at Elland Road at the start of February, defeating Hull Kingston Rovers 20-11 and now Brian McDermott’s side are back at the home of Leeds United, for a huge local derby with the Tigers.

This will be the first time the two sides have met in a league match since the 2017 Grand Final and Rhinos and Castleford fans alike have been keen to snap up tickets for the big clash.

The Rhinos’ record attendance for a ‘home’ Super League game is 23,035, set at Headingley back in 2003 against Bradford Bulls.  In Super League, the attendance record for a ‘home’ fixture stands at 25,004, which was set back in 2005 and the meeting between Leeds and Castleford at Elland Road is looking to smash both records.

Leeds United have been allocated two blocks in the East Stand and tickets for the match, which can be purchased at a special rate of £15 adults, £10 concessions and £5 juniors aged 16 and under, by all Leeds United Members and Season Ticket Holders.
