LEEDS COMPLETE LAURENS DE BOCK TRANSFER

Belgian full-back signs.

Leeds United are pleased to announce the signing of Laurens De Bock from Club Brugge for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old left back has signed a four and a half year deal at Elland Road, which runs until the summer of 2022.

De Bock started his career at KSC Lokeren, with whom he won the Belgian Super Cup during the 2011/12 season.

He moved to Club Brugge in 2013 and went onto make over 100 appearances for the club, playing matches in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

With Brugge, De Bock won all three major domestic honours, the 2014/15 Belgian Cup, 2015/16 Jupiler Pro League and the 2016 Belgian Super Cup.

The full-back has been capped by Belgium throughout his career, from Under-16 to Under-21 level.

He has also been called up to the senior Belgium squad on several occasions, but is yet to win a first cap.

De Bock becomes the third United signing of the January transfer window, after the Whites completed the captures of Yosuke Ideguchi and Aapo Halme.

He will wear the number 12 shirt for Leeds and could make his Whites debut in this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
