THOMAS CHRISTIANSEN: WE ARE IN A GOOD MOMENT

Head coach on Hull City win.

Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen spoke exclusively to LUTV following Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Hull City.

Pablo Hernandez’s lobbed effort was enough to secure the Whites all three points at Elland Road.

The win has moved Leeds back into the Play-Off places for Christmas, at the halfway point in the season and Christiansen was pleased the Whites have extended their unbeaten run to five games.

“I thought today’s win was what everyone in Leeds deserves,” said Thomas Christiansen.

“It has been a good first half of the season, the performance wasn’t so good, but I don’t care because we have the three points.

“We started the game very badly, in the first minute we conceded two corners and from my point of view, we were not good enough.

“Felix Wiedwald saved the team in the beginning and we went up in the score with a very nice goal from Pablo Hernandez.

“We spoke at half time and had things to correct and I don’t think we had a situation where we suffered too much in the second half.

“The fans have shown us support week by week and right now we are in a good moment, it is our third win in a row.

“It was nice to see the full house and the scarves, this is what all of the players, staff and everyone likes to see and I appreciate that a lot.

“I want to see them at all of our games, we need to stay together if we want to achieve something.”

Christiansen also spoke about Samuel Saiz, who missed out on the matchday squad.

He said: “The injury is short term, he wanted to be in the team, but we didn’t want to run any risks.

“We have important games now and three games more in the next few days and we need to have everyone ready.”
