THOMAS CHRISTIANSEN: I HOPE MANY SUPPORTERS WILL COME AND BUY A SCARF

Head coach on Hull City.

Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen spoke exclusively to LUTV ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Hull City.

The Whites head into the fixture looking to extend their unbeaten run to five games and get back into the Play-Off places.

Over 35,000 tickets have been sold for the fixture, with United fans encouraged to show their support with a scarf display.

“The message I would like to send to our fans is to support the team as they have done since I have been here,” said Christiansen.

“I hope as many supporters as possible will come and buy a scarf, to support the team and create a good atmosphere.

“Buying a scarf also helps the Leeds United Foundation, with a donation from every purchase going to a very good cause and I’d really appreciate it if they buy one and support the team.

“For us as staff it is important to have the support from the fans and for the players it is good to feel that they are being pushed and the fans are with the players through good and bad moments and we need to continue with that.

“Things are looking good with the squad, we will have Pierre-Michel Lasogga back as he has returned to training with the team, so he is an option for us.

“It is important to take one game at a time, but knowing a win would take us into the Play-Offs at the halfway stage, is very positive and that is our target for the game with Hull City.”
