PONTUS JANSSON: I’M PROUD OF MY TEAM-MATES

Defender on Norwich City win.

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson was thrilled to net the winning goal in Saturday’s victory over Norwich City.

The defender’s glancing header in the first half was enough to give Thomas Christiansen’s side all three points at Elland Road.

Leeds are now undefeated in four matches in the Sky Bet Championship and will return to the top six with a win against Hull City on Saturday.

“It feels good, I am proud of myself, but also proud of my team,” said Jansson.

“It was an important goal for us, now I have scored two goals in a row at home and it is a special feeling of course.

“It is really special to win with the goal, it was an important win for us, I am proud of the goal, but as I said, I’m more proud of my team-mates.

“I had some friends over from Sweden and we talked about me scoring and I believed in it, when I scored, I had to go over and celebrate with them.

“We are in good shape now and in good form, we have been playing better football and the defence is back to what it was like last year.

“It is easy to play football now, we will win games when we defend well and play better up front as well.”
