THOMAS CHRISTIANSEN: I BELIEVE IN MY TEAM

Head coach on Wolves clash.

Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has called on his side to continue building from Sunday’s victory at Elland Road.

The Whites got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Garry Monk’s Middlesbrough, in front of over 33,000.

Christiansen had praise for Wednesday’s opponents Wolves, but sees no reason why the Whites can’t pick up another victory at Molineux.

“Everything was very positive on Sunday and we have to bring this into the next game against Wolves,” said Christiansen.

“It was an important win for me, but also very important for the players who did a very good job on the pitch, understood the message and delivered.

“The togetherness we have at this club has always been there in the good moments and the bad moments, the only way to survive or to achieve something is by staying together.

“We are not far from our goals, but we are still not where we want to be, we took one important step in the last game against Middlesbrough, but we work hard every day to improve and do things better.

“I believe Wednesday’s match is one of the most difficult games that we will have, Wolves are a great team, they have performed really well and they are where they are because of how well they have played until now.

“From the games I have analysed and their position in the table, in my opinion Wolves are the best team in the league right now.

“They are a strong side and on a good run, but I believe in my team, that we will be able to play well there and take a good result.

“We need to continue working and taking good results, this only comes when the team believes in their abilities and possibilities in the league, we proved once again we have a good squad and can beat anybody."
